About this data measure

- In 2022, there was a decrease in alcohol-related deaths for the first time since 2016. The national value also saw a decrease for the first time since 2015.
- The rate of alcohol-related deaths is higher among White Rhode Islanders than Black Rhode Islanders and alcohol-related deaths among males is more than twice that of females.
